Organi-Zen Project

After, like I wanted to destroy the wardrobe in the wall for let enter the natural light source inside the flat (there is just one window), I wondered why I can't change all the the flat features dividing functions. For example, just put all stuffs which need piped water supply on just one wall. Like that, the rest can be organise following user' envy.

Second, for remove the wardrobe, I found a concept of fast organisation which delete one step during prepare stuffs for going in travel or for move on. Instead of putting his stuff in a bag from the wardrobe, we can just take the wardrobe with us. Just finding how... The shelves are fixed on the wall by magnetic paint on the wall. The rear of every shelve contain metal part which allow that.

Brief : This project consists to organise quickly the interior at home. This is in the aim of practicality, save space in home, concerns fast organisation in the student way of life.

First, my choice was a student apartment in Paris (France). I took measures and begin to model it in 3D.
Now, you will see the first render of what the flat is.

first-development

Top view.
Interior without shop yet.

This is the first version of the project. street view
It's new and experimental for me ( I like it!) to think with an abstract draw for a possible building.
There is the intention draw of the background for the beginning of the first developement of the project.
We decided to take some inspiration of Daniel Libeskind. It one of his pre-fabricate house.

The third concept :

Ambiguity of the vision. This concept characterizes the visual deficiency of the partially-sighted or blind people, the visual effects are deviated in order to creates a certain confusion. Do we see is real? , is this an illusion?

The residences of blind people is behind the mall, on the right (for the sun) had on the line houses in front of the others.

Now, we will have to make a choice...

After reading this book : « The Senses considered as Perceptual Systems » by James J. Gibson.

and many notes about all differents ways of perceptions ( feelings, light, vibrations, stimulations...)

For beginning, we have found the first concept of the building.

- By a symbol of « an eye divided » in the top view, (remember different view of a blind people)

- Following rules of the way of sun during the day,

- The surface available on the landscape.

The first part is the shopping mall. Its provision informs us of the size of the building. the square buildings are the residences for the blind men. The building of the bottom is a room of gym/fitness.

Second concept :

It seems the visual deduction. Theres is manies visual games for disturbing eye of people entring inside the mall and before. This idea makes it possible to sensitize people with the deficit visual of the blind people. To use visual indices, elements on the play of the vision. The residences of blind people is behind the mall, against walls border.

The main theme is blindness.
The topics is to think about a room or a house for blind people, in making their life easier.

During my research, I found many existing ways for :
- driving a car ; -finding a way by himself/herself indoors ;

- calling other people by cellphone ;
- playing to virtual game (with others senses).

A way to approach topics :
The commons senses blind people have with the other disabled people are: Touch & Smell.

There are 2 kinds of disabled people :
- They are born with this disability ;
- They got this disability by an accident or diseases ;
The main difference is the first kind of people did not ever see at all, the others could learn to see colours and forms before they lost their sight.
I think that blind people developed their others senses with the lack of their view. The others senses began to be aware of the surrounding .
One of our way of research is, in first time, to focus on the others senses.
